The CMP Group’s processing plants are located in Taiwan, Suzhou, Tianjin, and Wuhan. The GHG emissions presented in this report are calculated using the operational control approach, with reference to ISO 14064-1:2018, the IPCC AR6, input from external specialists, and local regulations. The inventory is conducted internally. However, specific locally announced factors used in calculations may vary due to geographical differences. For example, the emission factors for calorific values and electricity used in Taiwan are announced by the Energy Administration. As for the plants in Suzhou and Tianjin, the calorific values are based on the General Principles for Calculation of the Comprehensive Energy Consumption, while the electricity factor adopts the average emission factor for the national grid in 2022, which is 0.5366 tCO2/MWh, published by the Bureau of Ecology and Environment in 2024. The gas types in the GHG inventory include carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide. They are converted into carbon dioxide equivalents based on their global warming potential and relevant emission factors for presentation. In 2025, the total annual GHG emission amount was 190,663 tCO2e, including 2% from Scope 1 emissions, equivalent to approximately 3,903 tCO2e, and 98% from Scope 2 emissions, equivalent to approximately 186,760 tCO2e. The total GHG emissions intensity in 2025 decreased by 38.02% compared with the baseline year of 2015. The slight increase in intensity was due to production capacity adjustments. According to the Greenhouse Gas Verification Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Environment, this report adopts the global warming potential (GWP) values published by the IPCC in 2021 to estimate the relative radiative effects of different greenhouse gases compared to CO2. Using the GWP conversion factors, the emissions of various greenhouse gases are converted into carbon dioxide equivalents (CO2e) Greenhouse gas emissions in the baseline year of 2015: 324,326.05 tCO2e; the emission intensity was 1.92 tCO2e/ton.

With joint efforts from suppliers and research institutes, we recycle slag, dust, and waste molding sand, which account for 93% of the overall waste amount, and turn them into raw materials for low-strength cement and landscaping permeable bricks for further use in another industry. Cross-industry waste reuse not only strengthens industrial symbiosis but also adds new value to the waste. The scrap sand core, accounting for 6.79%, was refined into reclaimed sand as much as possible for reuse in production. In 2025, wastewater and waste liquids were processed directly, and all other items were processed indirectly. Non-hazardous waste totaled92,342 tons and hazardous waste totaled 272 tons. The recovery rate of non-hazardous waste was42.10%, with a reuse rate of 57.75%. The rate of non-recoverable and non-reusable waste declined to 0.15%. Waste from an industrial process can be transformed into raw materials or nutrients for another. This is a critical step for achieving a circular economy: turning waste into a resource.

Therefore, water resource management continues to follow three key strategies: reduction, reuse, and recycling. CMP Group has established leak detection systems and operational maintenance protocols. Through regular inspections, project-based improvement initiatives, self-management, and proposal-based enhancements, the Group promotes water conservation policies and maintains control over water usage within its plans. In 2025, total water withdrawal reached 571.84 million liters, representing a 7.7% increase compared to 2024. . Total water consumption was 442.05 million liters, showing a 10.03% increase year-on-year. The slight increase in both water withdrawal and consumption were due to production capacity adjustments, resulting in increased water demand.
