Park Lane by CMP
In May 2008, Park Lane by CMP opened to the public. This partnership project of the CMP and Eslite Groups created a building that fits naturally into the surrounding green area that covers more than thirty thousand square meters. The building has an indoor vertical garden with 140 000 plants, and other design elements such as natural lighting and is integrated with the nearby Calligraphy Greenway and Civic Square. Park Lane by CMP received the 2009 FIABCI-Taiwan Prix d’ Excellence Awards and represented Taiwan in 2010 to enter the "Oscar" of the real estate industry, the FIABCI World Prix d' Excellence Awards. Park Lane by CMP has become an attraction for visitors from abroad, showcasing Taiwan's creativity and green concepts on the global stage.
In addition to nature and fashion, Park Lane by CMP is dedicated to creating a hot spot for central Taiwan's culture and creative activities. It houses Eslite Bookstore's flagship location, which sells a huge collection of books and offers comfortable reading environment. Themed events and exhibitions are hosted regularly for the public to easily access arts and culture, in the hopes of planting more seeds of creativity and culture in the general public. In the retail area, visitors can find a diverse array of goods, from the latest world renowned designer fashions to items synonymous with pop culture. Park Lane by CMP introduces a new shopping experience to Taiwan; here in Park Lane by CMP, visitors can feel that green design can be fashionable and shopping can be easy.
Park Lane by Splendor
Spanning from B1 to 6F of the Splendor Hotel Taichung, Park Lane by Splendor is a compound shopping mall that incorporates various elements such as lifestyle, delicacies, and handmade design.
The shopping mall is situated at the shopping district on Taiwan Boulevard, also near the National Museum of Natural Science and the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts. Situated in a convenient and busy location, it is easily accessible, just right across the bus stop of the "National Museum of Natural Science". Moreover, on the first floor of the outdoor square, there is an iBike rental system for visitors so that they can ride a bike to visit, shop, and appreciate arts in Calligraphy Greenway.
Ray Chen, a famous architect in Taiwan, shaped the outer appearance and internal decoration of the mall with a massive effort. Each floor of the mall has its uniqueness, offering a comfortable space and a sense of design. Inside the mall, there are various famous brands regarding restaurants, home & lifestyle, and apparel. Additionally, there are diverse and fantastic indoor kids facilities for parents with kids, including the FeBo Gymnastics Center & Playground and the Jump Wave.
The shopping mall also hosts special events for promoting originality regularly such as outdoor bazaar on weekends, concerts in the park to promote music in life. All of these events showed the brand new image of a mall, which distinguishes it from regular department stores. The mall hopes to maintain the element of the traditional market—hospitality; thus, it adopted a modern spatial design and hardware equipment to build a "future traditional market": the Sixth Market in September 2017. Park Lane by Splendor Online Shopping Platform was established in June 2021 based on the ideas of "taking care of your mind and your life".
Sixth-market
Located on the third floor of Taichung’s Park Lane by CMP, Sixth Market is Taiwan’s very first traditional market to be integrated into a department store setting. Reimagining the essence of a classic street market within a modern retail environment, it brings new life to a beloved local tradition.
For generations, traditional markets have nourished the daily rhythms of Taiwanese life—intimate, bustling spaces where communities gather and thrive. The Sixth Market preserves this cultural spirit while embracing contemporary design and infrastructure, creating an entirely new kind of market experience.
With a curated selection of over a hundred vendors, the market offers everything from fresh meats and seafood, seasonal produce and grains, to ready-to-eat fare and daily essentials—all under one roof. Beyond its rich variety, Sixth Market also provides thoughtful services that elevate convenience and care, setting it apart from the markets of the past.
PARK2
Blending lush greenery with curated retail, PARK2 is a nontraditional park-style community nestled in the heart of Taichung. More than just a place to shop, it brings together premium outdoor gear, exclusive global cuisines, artisanal desserts and drinks, and even Taichung’s favorite caudex plant specialty shop. After work, unwind with a drink at one of its hidden bars, or explore the weekly markets and spontaneous performances—there’s something happening at every corner, every day.
When your feet need a break, sink into the sunken plaza’s wooden deck seating, shaded by striking desert and broadleaf plants that transform the space into a verdant retreat. Whether gathering with friends and family, or simply escaping the city’s rush for a moment of calm, PARK2 offers a fresh take on what a park can be. Come discover this reimagined green space — designed to help you pause, breathe, and feel at ease.
